What Is Thread Count?

Filter

In recent years, there have been growing concerns around how thread counts and cotton content are presented across the bedding industry. Some products use multiple fibres twisted together to create a higher stated thread count, meaning a fabric advertised as 400 thread count may not be comparable to a genuine 400 thread count fabric.

Cotton blends can also make it difficult to know exactly what you're buying. Bedding may be marketed as Egyptian Cotton while containing only a proportion of genuine Egyptian Cotton, rather than being made entirely from this premium fibre. Ours is 100% Giza Egyptian Cotton which is the best of the best.

Thread count is also not always clearly stated, with some bedding being sold under product names or descriptions without giving customers a clear indication of the actual thread count. We believe customers should have clear, honest information about the bedding they are buying, including the quality of the fibres and the true thread count

We always state our thread count and we always have the absolute highest quality possible from our 180 to our 1000 thread count. All our bed sheets are weaved and made in Portugal which is regarded as the premium source for bed linen, Thread count is the number of threads woven into a square inch of our fabric. The higher the thread count the more luxurious the fabric. Thread count is quite often referred to as TC next to the number of threads.
