Fitted sheets are traditionally used on the mattress (the sheet you lie on) and held in place with an elasticated edge.
How deep does a fitted sheet need to be?
The simple answer is the deeper the better! If your experience of fitted sheets is that they tend to ride up at the sides, the most common reason is they are not deep enough.
We always recommend buying your fitted sheet at least 2 to 3 inches deeper than the depth of your mattress, so if your mattress is 12 inches (30cm) deep you will find our 15 inch (38cm) sheets will be a perfect fit.
The best way to get it right is to always buy your fitted sheets deeper than your mattress depth, but the width and length need to be correct, so resist the temptation to buy a size bigger for example don't buy a Super King 6ft wide for a King Size 5ft wide!
