What Is Batiste?
Our pillows are encased in the 100% Cotton Fine Batiste 360 thread count with a golden piped edge which is affectionately known locally as "Pignoletto" after the beautiful colour of the local, crisp, aromatic white sparkling wine. Pignoletto is a a sophisticated alternative to Prosecco and our pillows are like no other available in the UK.
100% cotton fine batiste is a lightweight, opaque ivory to semi-sheer, plain weave fabric known for it's exceptional softness, smooth texture, and breathability. Made from high thread count mercerised fine cotton, it is extremely durable yet delicate and generally reserved for the finest blouses, handkerchiefs, nightgowns and lingerie.
