Our zipped duvets with a neat concealed zip are designed for zip & link beds and are available in one of our very best synthetic duvets. The set consists of a pair of 135 x 220cm duvets giving 270 x 220cm zipped together, and as these are longer than a standard single, our long single duvet covers will fit perfectly. Zips are concealed when separated into two singles or as one super king.ECO2 fibres are produced using recycled plastic bottles which are collected from across Europe and reprocessed in to plastic pellets for use in the creation of luxury polyester fibres. Innovative & sustainable manufacturing processes, using less CO2 land and water to make the duvet fibres that help you sleep so beautifully. Typically a total of 20 plastic bottles will produce enough fibres to make a 600g pillow and this in turn saves approximately 85 million bottles a year going to landfill on pillows alone.
What is ECO2?Here at the Linen Cupboard our British Made ECO2 Cluster filling helps reduce the environmental impact and improving the sustainability. Thanks to this innovative technology, this high-quality polyester is made using a filling of traceable post consumer PET bottles. These are made from recycled Aldi and Lidi plastic bottles, 80% of the material that makes this filing is from post consumer waste and the remaining 20% is from virgin material. If that wasn't enough it also powered by environmentally friendly production with regards to the consumption of land, water and energy. This achieves a decrease of more than 80% of the carbon footprint during the fibre life. The eco-friendliness is acknowledged by a life cycle analysis LCA (conducted by TNO Institute in Utrecht). Please don't think the result is a shredded platic filling, it is recycled into this high quality synthetic which reflects the feeling and handle of down. With a 233-count 100% pure cotton casing, it washes and recovers incredibly well making it a long-lasting purchase. The origin of every fibre bale is fully traceable so that the highest ethical standards are maintained and ensure that no children are used in the collection of bottle waste. ECO2 Has been recognised and rewarded by internationally recognised ecological labels. So you can sleep easy and wake refreshed knowing that you helped to care for our planet and future generations when you found that perfect duvet.
