This Siberian Goose Down is so luxurious that it makes feather pale in comparison. No doubt feathers are soft. They have a rigid middle, which is the quill, and hair-like strands radiate out of them. These feathers protect the birds from cold, and also keep them dry by exposing the water to wind for drying. There is no doubt that feathers are excellent warming material. But are known to flatten out over time, resulting in less loft. Goose down is in the form of round clusters. When they come together, they make bigger clusters that are fluffier and even more comfortable. They do not lose their shape with time, which means that they last much longer than feather.
Geese living in the cold climates of Siberia produce the largest, warmest clusters of down, to help them stay warm. This leads to the lightest, fluffiest, loftiest Goose down filling imaginable. The duvets & pillows remain extremely lightweight, whilst keeping you perfectly warm or cool, with it's phenomenal thermal quality. Natural filled duvet & pillows at this level will not lose their loft over time, and will be as light and fluffy in 10 years time, as when you receive them.
Covered with premium 300 thread count, 100% cotton casing, and finished with a sateen piped edge and a super fill power of 800. The higher the fill power, the larger the down clusters, and the bigger the clusters, the softer the feel.
