If you want your bed to look like an interior designer has decorated it. First we need to look at how an interior designer layers the bed. It may seem impossible to get your unmade bed looking as dreamy as the ones created by the pros, but in fact it’s easier and faster than you think. It’s time to upgrade your bed to make it look stylish and inviting.
In all of our years of being a supplier to many interior designers, we always like to pick their brains and ask their expertise on how they create such amazing bedrooms. We found out that it's more than just a sheet set with a duvet on top, it all came down to layers which will make your bed look super fluffy and full. Creating depth and creating perfect dimensions is important for your bed to look visually pleasing. Interior Designers put a lot of focus and energy into the design of the customers beds, not only because it is always the focal point of every bedroom, but also because we all spend so much time in them.
Creating a hotel experience at home, The first time you stay in a 5* hotel, you remember being absolutely wowed by all the little details and design features. In most hotel rooms, the bed is the centre of attention, so that’s where you need to put the focus on. Whilst it might not be possible to purchase a new bed there are little touches you can add to your bed that will make it feel like new. The first, of course, is new bed sheets. Bedding is the kind of thing you notice straight away. Colour-wise, we would stick to lights and neutrals (or maybe grey, if you’re going for a more boutique feel). It’s quite uncommon to find a hotel room with coloured or patterns bedding so staying simple and classic is likely to give you an effect most similar to a hotel suite.
The next thing in the bedroom is pillows. Most luxury hotels use feather-down pillows, so if you’re looking to emulate a hotel suite experience, then these are definitely what you should opt for. If it’s a better night’s sleep you’re after, then either our British Savoy 5* Duck Feather & Down or Our Aerelle® Grande Softflex if you prefer a synthetic option.
