What is Tencel?Tencel is an award-winning ‘new-age’ fibre which is 100% botanic. Made from plantation-grown, natural wood cellulose, it originates from the aromatic pulp of sustainably-harvested eucalyptus trees. Because of the hydrophilic quality of Tencel, along with controllable fibrillation, it is much more efficient than other bedding at keeping the body cooler while sleeping. Tencel is also a remarkable environmental achievement: it is derived from a renewable and sustainable raw material, it is manufactured sustainably and it is fully biodegradable, making it a ‘full-cycle’ fibre.
The Flower Endorsement guarantees that these fibres meet the highest standards of performance and environmental quality.
What is Suprelle?Suprelle® is created using recycled bottles and aids in reducing significantly the amount of plastic going to landfill and other non-ECO friendly disposal avenues. Innovative & sustainable manufacturing processes, using less CO2 land and water to make the pillow fibres that help you sleep so beautifully. The recycled plastic bottles are collected from across Europe and reprocessed into a microfibre. On average a total of 20 plastic bottles will produce enough fibres to make a pillow and this in turn saves millions of bottles a year going to landfill. The origin of every fibre bale is fully traceable so that the highest ethical standards are maintained and ensure that no children are used in the collection of bottle waste.
Oeko-Tex® ensures this casings, fabrics and filling, meet the human-ecological requirements and is class 1 certified.
