Integrating 100% Recycled Down into our supply chain took a bit of legwork. There was already a market in Europe for recycled down and feathers, but it took some time to find partners that were able to meet the high-quality standards. One of our goals is to increase the amount of recyclable down products. We want to supply products that are easier to recycle. Here at the linen cupboard we are constantly trying to become more ethical and more environmentally responsible, we understand the important of this. This is why we have brought in our Recycled down fill. We know you will love the snug yet breathable warmth of our eco friendly recycled down duvet. We’ve carefully picked, washed and dried pre-used down front designer down filled jackets so it’s revived and ready for you to snuggle up with.

We’re starting here - with eco-friendly duvets that help sleepy-heads get a good night’s sleep while minimizing our impact on the planet. Duvets don’t last forever, so when it’s time for you to get a new one, choose one that respects the planet. Our eco-friendly duvets use post-consumer waste, helping reduce the amount of waste that goes into landfill, that’s burned or that ends up in our natural environment. And not only that, re-using materials instead of producing them from scratch means a more respectful use of our natural resources. Recycled products use less water, fewer chemicals and less carbon.

Choosing the right tog depends on your preference, and the time of year. The higher the tog, the warmer the duvet.

What can be better in our sustainable world than luxury products been recycled into luxury bedding! Because of the mix of different downs recycled into these duvets we cannot give them a down ratio but only high quality downs are used and can be compared to our 85% European Goose Down duvets. The fill power is also an important part and these have a high 550 fill power. Choose bedding that's kinder to the environment. Handmade in the UK, our Neokdun duvets have reclaimed natural filling which is created from pre-loved down products. The duvets are soft and luxurious and maintain the temperature efficiency of traditional natural fillings, while saving on valuable natural resources and reducing additional landfill waste.

How Are They Made?
Pre-loved luxury clothes, pillows and duvets containing down and feather fillings are reclaimed, sorted and cleaned. After a thorough check to remove fine feather and down, the material is sterilised and heat-treated. They are then repurposed into a brand new and fresh premium blend and it's rigorously checked to ensure the highest possible quality for your new duvet. This process also gives the filling a softer and quieter texture, so you can enjoy a sound night's sleep.

Emperor duvets measure 290 x 235cm (114 x 93") and are the recognised size for both the Emperor Bed 6ft 6 x 6ft 6 & Large Emperor 7ft x 7ft. We call the duvet Emperor / Large Emperor because the one size is meant for both sizes of bed.

Returns Policy

When it comes to refunds if you cancel before its dispatch we will give you a full refund of any monies paid in full within 7 days. If you are not happy with any of our products for any reason you may return them to us within 28 days of receipt and we will offer you an exchange or, a refund, providing that the products are returned to us in an unused re-saleable condition.

All refunds exclude the original postage cost and customers will be required to pay for the return of the product to us, unless the product is faulty. When returning goods if you would enclose your name and or order number within or on the package. A good way to help us deal with your return is to enclose the original order invoice with a note of which products you are returning and reason for return.

Shipping

Here at the Linen Cupboard we try to provide the best service possible making the shopping experience for the customer as easy as possible. We aim to deliver to you within 3 working days (not including weekends and back holidays), but please allow up to 7 days just in case. On receipt of your order if delivery is expected to be over 7 days we will inform you of the stock situation and advise you of any delays. In the last 12 months around 90% of all our orders have been delivered within 1 - 3 days as we hold large stocks. Some of our British products are handmade to order, but we state in the product information if they take up to 7 working days.

UK & EIRE

We have a standard postage and packing flat rate of £3.95 which is not subject to UK sales tax (VAT) for all orders within the United Kingdom and Eire. FREE UK & Eire delivery when you spend £50.

OVERSEAS

Shipments within the EU are a flat rate of £19.95. We regret that we no longer offer shipments beyond the EU, ie to the rest of the world. The shipping cost is provided in your basket if you enter your country and postcode.

We use DPD Local for all our deliveries DPD will email and text, both the day before to advise of delivery the following day and also the morning of with a time slot. You will get several options if it is not a suitable delivery time: Change the day; Leave with a neighbour; Leave in a safe place; Change address.
